Students will be given the opportunity to know and to demonstrate the following:
  • Competency in movement skills involving the five components of fitness which are balance, endurance, flexibility, strength, and power
  • Application of the concepts and principles of movement of the five components of fitness to improve motor skills
  • Maintenance, exhibition, and constant improvement for lifelong physical fitness
  • Respect and understanding for social behavior and differences among people in physically active settings
  • Competency and efficiency in specific sport movements, strategies, and laws of the game
  • Development of cross-motor and midline movement (Brain Gym)
