Biography

I have been a part of the Forest Ridge Academy community for 27 years and currently serve as the Lower School Science Teacher, Head of the Science Department, Robotics Coach, and Volleyball Coach. Throughout my time at FRA, I have enjoyed inspiring students through hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.

 

Before joining FRA, I taught at Our Lady of Grace in Highland, Indiana. My teaching philosophy centers around creating meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom concepts to everyday life, students’ interests, and their individual abilities.

 

I appreciate the freedom FRA provides to design engaging lessons and teach both “outside the box” and “outside the classroom,” allowing students to explore, discover, and grow. I am honored to have received the A+ for Energy Grant, the FRA “Green” Award, and the Science Olympiad Coaches Award.

 

I am also proud to be part of the FRA community as the parent of two FRA graduates, Joshua and Marissa.
