Biography

I have been a part of the Forest Ridge Academy community for 15 years and currently serve as a first-grade teacher and Lower School Division Head. I enjoy supporting students and teachers while helping create a strong foundation for academic growth, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

 

Before joining FRA, I worked at Forest Park School and Westchester School in Illinois. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about creating engaging learning experiences, challenging students to reach their potential, and supporting their growth both inside and outside the classroom.

 

What I love most about Forest Ridge Academy is the strong sense of community that makes FRA feel like family. I appreciate that students are excited to learn, that the arts are valued, and that teachers are encouraged to challenge students while creating meaningful, memorable school experiences. I also value the emphasis on professional development and opportunities to continue growing as an educator.

 

I have been honored to serve on the Grant Writing Committee. I am also proud to be part of the FRA community as a parent of two graduates: Sofia Cunningham, who attended FRA from kindergarten through eighth grade, and Ava Cunningham, who attended FRA from Junior Kindergarten through sixth grade.
