Biography
I have been a part of the Forest Ridge Academy community for three years and currently serve as a fifth-grade teacher, including teaching departmentalized social studies. I enjoy helping students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
Before joining FRA, I taught in the Diocese of Gary, where I worked with students in kindergarten through eighth grade as a technology teacher and taught homeroom subjects for grades four through eight. I also taught fifth grade in Portage Township.
What I love most about Forest Ridge Academy is the strong feeling of family and the close relationships that are built through our small class sizes. I also appreciate a variety of classes, including Sign Language, Spanish, and Wood Shop. I appreciate being part of a community where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow.
I am also proud to be part of the FRA community as a parent of a second-grade student.
