Biography

I have been a part of the Forest Ridge Academy community for 10 years and currently serve as the ASL Teacher for students in first through eighth grade. I enjoy helping students develop communication skills while building an appreciation for American Sign Language and Deaf culture.

 

Before joining FRA, I worked as an educational interpreter for seven years. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Interpreting from the University of Nebraska–Omaha, and I bring my experience and passion for communication into the classroom each day.

 

What I love most about Forest Ridge Academy is the variety of special opportunities offered to students from a young age, including Wood Shop, Chess, Technology, ASL, Spanish, and more. I appreciate that FRA encourages students to explore different interests and develop skills beyond the traditional classroom.

 

I am honored to have received the Forest Ridge Academy 5-Year and 10-Year Service Awards. I am also proud to be connected to the FRA community as a parent of Kali, who attended Forest Ridge Academy.
