Biography

I have been a part of the Forest Ridge Academy community for four years and currently serve as a third-grade teacher and Book Fair Coordinator. I enjoy creating engaging learning experiences that meet students where they are and encourage them to grow academically, socially, and personally.

 

Throughout my career, I have worked as a classroom teacher in Chicago, Orland Park, and Cincinnati, as well as a Reading Specialist in Dolton and a School Librarian in Orland Park and Cincinnati. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on student learning and strengthened my passion for helping children become confident, lifelong learners.

 

What I love most about Forest Ridge Academy is the freedom to create lessons that go beyond the textbook and are tailored to my students’ needs. I appreciate the ability to be flexible, responsive, and creative in my teaching rather than simply following a set pace. This allows me to design meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity and engagement.

 

I am also proud to be part of the FRA community as a parent of two students: Charlie, an eighth grader, and Jake, a sixth grader.
