Biography

I have been a part of the Forest Ridge Academy community for 16 years and currently serve as the Second Grade Lead, a member of Faculty Life, and Spell Bowl Coach. Throughout my time at FRA, I have had the opportunity to teach students in Young Scholars, Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten, second grade, and third grade, giving me the privilege of working with learners at many different stages of their educational journey.

 

Before joining FRA, I spent five years teaching in the United Kingdom and participated in a one-year teacher exchange through the Fulbright Scholarship Program. My experiences in different educational settings have shaped my passion for creating meaningful learning experiences and helping students grow with confidence.

 

What I love most about Forest Ridge Academy is that it felt like home from the moment I walked through the door. I had two job offers when I was searching for a new opportunity, but I chose FRA even though I had never taught in a private school setting before because of the welcoming community and the strong sense of belonging I immediately felt. I am honored to have received the Forest Ridge Academy 15-Year Service Award and to be recognized as the first Brit to become part of the FRA community.

 

I am also proud to be part of FRA as a parent of two students currently in Kindergarten and fifth grade.
