Biography

● Years at FRA: 5 years
● Roles/Responsibilities (what do you do?) ○ Middle School Science Teacher (Forensics, BioMed) ○ Robotics Coach ○ NJHS Advisor ○ Hender/Monti Captain Sponsor ○ Grant Committee Member
● Experience (what/where have you worked) ○ Master’s of Science ○ Taught college, high school, and middle school-level science ○ Worked as a part-time assistant pathologist and food scientist ● What I love about FRA? I love FRA because it truly feels like home. It is a school where everyone looks out for one another and genuinely cares about your well-being both in and out of the classroom. What means the most to me is that ideas are not only welcomed but believed in. If you have a vision, the administration and board support you in bringing it to life. I am able to teach in ways that spark curiosity and joy in my students. Programs like Science Buddies and BioMed started as simple ideas, and they exist today because FRA trusted and supported me and had faith in what I wanted to create: a meaningful and engaging learning environment for my students.
● FRA Accomplishments (grants/awards/recognition) ○ Toshiba Grant for BioMed ○ Anderson Grants ○ Robotics Grants Rec Foundation ○ Best Faculty Monti Winner
● Connecting to FRA (class of . . .? alumna? alumnus?) (parent of FRA students or grads - if so, what grades/years) Addy is currently in kindergarten at FRA. My heart is full knowing that my daughter Rosy will also share in the FRA experience one day. FRA is a place where my girls will be loved, supported, and shaped during some of the most important years of their lives. I am so grateful I get to watch them grow, learn, and become who they are meant to be at FRA in the years ahead.
