Biography

I have been a part of the Forest Ridge Academy community for five years and currently serve as the Middle School Science Teacher, teaching Forensics and BioMed, as well as Robotics Coach, NJHS Advisor, Hender/Monti Captain Sponsor, and Grant Committee Member. I enjoy creating hands-on learning experiences that encourage students to explore, ask questions, and develop a passion for science and innovation.

 

I hold a Master’s degree in Science and have taught science at the college, high school, and middle school levels. I have also gained experience working as a part-time assistant pathologist and food scientist, experiences that continue to enrich my teaching and allow me to connect classroom learning to real-world applications.

 

What I love most about Forest Ridge Academy is that it truly feels like home. FRA is a place where people look out for one another, support each other’s ideas, and genuinely care about the success and well-being of students and colleagues. I appreciate that creativity and innovation are encouraged, and that the administration and board support teachers in bringing meaningful ideas to life. Programs such as Science Buddies and BioMed began as simple ideas and have grown because of FRA’s trust and support.

 

I am honored to have received the Toshiba Grant for BioMed, Anderson Grants, Robotics Grants through the REC Foundation, and the Best Faculty Monti Award. I am also proud to be part of the FRA community as a parent of Addy, who is currently in Kindergarten at FRA. I look forward to the day my daughter Rosy will also experience the FRA community, where my girls will be loved, supported, and encouraged to grow into the people they are meant to be.
