Development

The Development Department is typical of independent schools throughout the nation. In order to help provide the exemplary FRA education, it is charged with raising the funds to close "the gap" between tuition revenue and the annual cost of school operation. This is accomplished each year through the efforts of dedicated parents, volunteers, the Board of Trustees, faculty and friends.

Every school year, dollars are raised via the Annual Fund, an appeal to the entire FRA constituency. The Development Department also coordinates major school fund raising events. They include the Gala, a dinner/oral and silent auction; fall raffle, where all families must sell a minimum number of raffle tickets; and scrip, a program that offers an opportunity for parents to save on their tuition and help the school by purchasing gift certificates and prepaid gift cards, each of these efforts fall into the category of "Annual Giving." That is, the funds are used to support and enhance the school's annual operations budget.
