Math
The lower school math program focuses on identifying each student's cognitive development through the use of manipulatives and experiences that teach concepts concretely. The lower school students:
- Progress from basic addition and subtraction to addition and subtraction with regrouping
- Time, money, measurement, and geometry
- Increase problem-solving skills
- Create proper equations
- Practice math facts through daily-timed tests
- Students are placed according to ability level with opportunities for advancement through our Step-Up Math Program
