Preschool through Kindergarten
The early childhood years are an exciting time of cognitive growth! Critical thinking, reading, writing, processing, and social skills blossom. The early childhood program at Forest Ridge Academy incorporates many learning activities that cater to each child's individual needs and provides children with opportunities to grow and develop. Preschool consists of our young scholars program (3/4 year old) and our junior kindergarten program (4/5 year old). Children in the early childhood stage begin to:
- Make and express choices
- Solve problems
- Take care of one's own needs
- Express feelings in words
- Build relationships with other children and adults
- Create and experience collaborative play
