Forest Ridge Academy and You

Our Students, Our School, Our Commitment

Introduction

Forest Ridge Academy values commitment from our alumni, community, faculty and families to educational excellence.

You support Forest Ridge Academy when you contribute to Annual Giving, purchase or donate Gala items, attend fundraising activities or purchase from our Scrip Program.  We are deeply grateful to all who have supported the school in various ways through their generous gifts, and are excited about the opportunity to establish   “The Gift That Keeps on Giving.”

It is the vision of the Forest Ridge community to invest in the future of our school, its students and faculty.   To foster this vision and to secure enduring support, we endorse the implementation of the Forest Ridge Academy Endowment Fund.

 Belief Statement

We are dedicated to providing unmatched, lifelong excellence in education for the children of today, tomorrow and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

 Q:  What is an endowment?

A:  Endowments are permanent savings established by a group of donors with the accounts managed by a foundation or other financial organization.  The principle amount remains intact.  A maximum of  3-5% of the growth of your gift is distributed to Forest Ridge Academy on an annual basis.  Your perpetual gift remains intact beyond the present, into the future, and even forever.

Q:   Is my gift tax deductible?

A:  Yes!  Another advantage is that Forest Ridge Academy is a non-for-profit organization, which allows you to receive maximum tax benefits.

Q:  What happens to my gift after I contribute to the Forest Ridge Academy Endowment Fund?

A:  Gifts to the Endowment Fund are permanent and irrevocable.  Your historic gift is invested and never distributed.  Annually, Forest Ridge Academy can take a distribution from this fund according to the endowment policy and guidelines.

Ways of Giving

Cash  - These gifts can be made in any amount and can be done through pledges over a five-year period.  This allows donors the ability to plan in advance for their gift.  For example, a pledge of $25,000 can be made payable at $5,000 a year for five years.

Stocks and Securities – The donor receives a charitable tax deduction of the current value.  If the securities have appreciated in value, the donor pays no capital gains tax.

Real Estate and Property – The full market value of your gift can generally be deducted without recognizing income on the gain from your real cost.

Other Ways – Please inquire at our finance office to find out about other innovative ways to donate.

 Recognizing Your Contributions

Each and every gift is valued here at Forest Ridge Academy.  We intend to recognize all donors for their generous contributions.
